MICHAEL JORDAN 5 TIME MVP
Michael Jordan was the NBA’s most valuable player five times, and many believe he should have won even more. Most notably, it is widely believed that Karl Malone unjustly won the 1998 MVP over Jordan because writers believed Jordan had won enough. Jordan was also named the NBA’s defensive player of the year in 1988.
THE GREATEST SCORER
By any calculation, Jordan is the greatest scorer the league has ever seen. He won a record 10 scoring titles, and boasted a career average of 30.1 points per game, the most in NBA history.
MICHAEL JORDAN ON FAILURE AND PERSEVERANCE
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
- This short story speaks volumes about goal setting. Getting discouraged and giving up is not an option if your eventually want to succeed.
- Winners never quit. Quitters never win. I chose to be a winner.
